Retirement films are secretly workplace love stories. The best ones move through eras: the early-career photos that trigger gasps, the projects and inside jokes, the colleagues across the years, and short video messages from teammates past and present. The structure I use ends not on the job, but on what is next, because a great send-off points forward.
Reunion films run on recognition. Yearbook photos beside current photos, the old campus, the songs of the era, the teachers everyone remembers. For 50th reunions I always recommend a quiet memorial chapter for classmates who have passed, handled with warmth, because done right it becomes the most valued part of the film.

Both are complete films for the celebration, with a clear creative brief and an agreed delivery date. No filming crew or elaborate production required.
What keeps these offers focused?
The $1,500 montage covers one person, couple or shared milestone, up to 100 selected digital photos, a film of approximately 4–6 minutes and up to two licensed library music selections. Plus is quoted within $2,250–$3,000 for up to 160 photos and up to eight selected clips, with no more than five minutes of total source video, usually shaped into a 6–9 minute film. These are scope boundaries, not targets to fill.
You select the meaningful material; I handle the sequence and pacing. Both include basic cropping and tonal adjustments, simple titles and one finished version. Extensive archive sorting, scanning, restoration, interviews, filming, custom animation, extra versions and a new creative direction are quoted separately. Music is cleared for the agreed use; commercial-song requests require separate clearance. A fixed written scope, payment terms and review schedule come before editing.
A bigger creative idea? Cinematic Milestone commissions begin at $4,950 for more involved story development, multiple sources and custom treatments. Interviews, filming and substantial animation are included only when specifically quoted.

Questions about retirement films
Do you work with our DJ or event planner?
Yes. I can coordinate the finished-file handoff and agreed playback requirements with your event team. DJs, planners and venues can also refer clients or arrange behind-the-scenes production. Explore event partnerships.
How do we collect photos and messages from a large group?
Use Drive, Dropbox or another agreed transfer method. Have one coordinator select the material and consolidate feedback. I handle the final sequencing and edit; extensive collection management or archive sorting is separately quoted.
What makes a good retirement video?
Era-by-era career photos, a few well-chosen inside jokes, short video messages from colleagues, and an ending that celebrates what comes next. The tone should be two parts tribute, one part roast, adjusted to the guest of honor. I will help you calibrate it.
Can you make a roast montage that is funny without going too far?
Yes, that balance is exactly the craft. The rule I use: tease the choices, honor the person. Hairstyles, fashion, and legendary mishaps are fair game. The film still has to end with the room feeling how much this person is loved, and mine do.
How far in advance should a reunion committee start?
Six to eight weeks before the reunion, mostly to allow time for classmates to dig up and send photos. Gathering the material is the long pole. The editing is my problem, not yours.
Can you include a memorial section for classmates who have passed?
Yes, and for milestone reunions I recommend it. A gentle, well-placed remembrance chapter, with names and photos handled respectfully, consistently becomes the most meaningful part of a reunion film. I will guide the committee on how to gather names and images.
Do you handle military retirements and service tributes?
Yes. Service tribute films follow the career through duty stations, deployments, and the people alongside them, with the respect the occasion calls for. Official photos, family photos, and messages from unit members all weave together.
What is included in the $1,500–$3,000 option?
A complete Celebration Montage from selected digital material, with personal sequencing, music editing, basic photo adjustments, simple titles and a 1080p MP4.
