The Montage Method

From First Hello to the Big Screen

Five steps, no homework, and nothing to install. You bring the meaningful pieces. I handle the story.

01

Tell me the story

Use the Start Your Film form or send a note with the occasion, your date, and a little about the person at the center of it. I respond personally, usually within one business day, and the first conversation is free, friendly, and obligation-free. You leave it with a fixed quote and a plan built around your date.

02

Send the meaningful pieces

You send the photos and clips using whatever transfer method works best for you, usually Google Drive or Dropbox. If you already use something else, that is completely fine too. No perfect organizing required: you do not need to rename files, build folders, or decide the final order. I handle the story structure, sequencing, pacing, music, and polish. Big camera rolls are normal, so I can also help you narrow yours down to the moments that count. Montages in Motion is not unlimited photo sorting. It is emotional film curation.

03

I shape and craft the film

This is the part you are hiring. I select the strongest images, restore the old and damaged ones, build the story structure, and edit the music so the emotional peaks land on exactly the right frames. Every film is made by hand, by me, start to finish.

04

You review

You watch a full cut and tell me what to adjust. Every film includes structured revision rounds, typically two, with three on Signature films. In practice most families request only small changes, because the story conversation up front is where we get it right.

05

Polish and premiere

You receive a high-resolution file formatted for your venue, screen, or funeral home system, plus a web-friendly version for sharing. DJ handoffs, venue coordination, and special formats are all part of the service. Then the lights go down, and the room is yours.

Good to know

The practical details

Timelines

Most projects take 2 to 4 weeks from the time I receive your materials to delivery. Rush timelines, including memorial videos needed within days, are regularly accommodated. Tell me your date first and I will build the plan around it.

Distance

Cincinnati is home base, not a boundary. File transfer, review, and delivery all happen online, so I serve families across the country with zero difference in quality.

Old photos

Creased prints, faded color, tiny scans, and photographs of photographs are all restorable. Old media coming back to life on screen is reliably one of the most emotional moments in any film.

Music

Choose every song, give me a direction, or hand it to me entirely. Either way I edit the music so transitions are seamless and the peaks land on the right images.

I was dreading it because our photos are a disaster, spread across three phones and an old laptop. He told me exactly what to send and handled the rest. I did almost nothing and it turned out better than I imagined.

Katie R.Cincinnati · Birthday

I'm not organized and I don't have time. I sent him a pile of stuff and he shaped it into an actual story. He made it easy on purpose, and I noticed.

The next step

Step one takes two minutes.

Tell me the occasion, your date, and a little about the person at the center of it. I will take it from there.
