20+ years
Of making montage films by hand, for families across the country. Every era of photo formats, every kind of room, every kind of moment.
The filmmaker
Brandon Losacker, founder of Montages in Motion. Twenty-plus years, one set of hands.

Montages in MotionTwenty years of real life, shaped in the edit.
Sometimes it is for a child walking into a room full of family. Sometimes it is for a parent or grandparent everyone misses. Sometimes it is for one person who needs to see that their life meant something to the people around them.
This is a business, of course. But the money was never why I started doing this. For a long time, Montages in Motion grew almost entirely by word of mouth, one family telling another family, because the work meant something to them.
That still matters to me.
Whether it is your child's mitzvah, your father's life story, a baseball season, a graduation, a family vacation, or someone you love who is no longer here, the job is the same: take the moments that could easily disappear into phones, folders, and old hard drives, and turn them into something people can feel.
That is the part I care about most.
The craft underneath it
The craft underneath it is simple to say and hard to do. The story comes first, and the music carries it. Anyone can put photos in order. The difference is in the selection, the pacing, and the three seconds of silence before the last photo. The person you talk to on the first call is the person shaping your film. No junior editors, no outsourcing, no handoffs. And if you are a business looking for brand or commercial work, that runs through my dedicated studio practice . Different front door, same hands.

Story, selection, sequencing, music editing, and final polish, all from the same set of hands. The craft does not get delegated.
This practice grew for two decades on referrals and recommendations. The film has to earn the next phone call. That is the standard.
A trained musician's ear behind every edit. Songs are cut to the frame so the emotional peaks land exactly where they should.
